Kirsty Baird

Kirsty has been a singer/musician and song writer since she was 17. She has never had any other hobbies or passions, instead she has focussed her whole life and career on music. The instruments she can play include guitar and keyboard. She learned her trade the hard way by constant gigging in all types of venues.

She has gigged all over Scotland and northern England and her musical passions now include her business, Sing in the City. With Annette, (Asst. MD) their time now revolves around rehearsals, shows, charity and community work.

Kirsty and Annette arrange all the songs covered by Sing in the City, some of which will be an easier 2 or 3 part harmony and for the Aw Blacks the arrangements are considerably more complex.

What Kirsty Says...

"I have become a bit of a workaholic and Sing in the City has given us all opportunities to perform in places that I never imagined and this makes us even more ambitious."

"I am most proud when I see all the choirs mixing socially together and I love standing on stage with any choir and sharing a moment that is private and away from the audience."

"I really love working with the band either recording, gigging, writing or rehearsing original material. It’s every song writer's dream to perform original material and Sing in the City gifts us those opportunities."

"Developing the choirs, the business, the band and our music is a dream job!"

"I really love working with the band either recording, gigging, writing or rehearsing original material. It’s every songwriter's dream to perform original material and Sing in the City gifts us those opportunities. There are not many singer songwriters who get to sell out the Edinburgh Festival theatre, Usher Hall and next in my sights my childhood dream...the Playhouse"

Your event is in safe hands with Kirsty, she is the ultimate professional.
